The 24-year-old Brit, who shot to fame as Edward Cullen in the hit vampire movie saga, accrued an estimated 17 million dollars (£11 million) in the last 12 months alone.
R-Patz was ranked 50th on the Celebrity 100 Power List, while his
Lady Gaga is the highest newcomer in the Forbes list, based on earnings and global exposure, and overshot stars like Madonna (number 10) and U2 (seven) to claim fourth place.
She raked in 62 million dollars (£41 million) in the last year, partly thanks to the eccentric singer's 106-date world tour.
Oprah Winfrey reclaims the top spot as the most powerful celebrity with 315 million dollars (£208 million) after last year's number one Angelina Jolie dropped to 18th position.
Despite turmoil in his personal life and his professional setbacks, Tiger Woods is at number five with 105 million dollars (£69 million) accrued during the past year.
Avatar director James Cameron returns to the list - this time in third place - for the first time since 1999, earning 210 million dollars (£139 million).
Simon Cowell is the highest British earner, jumping 14 places to number 11 with 80 million dollars (£53 million), following his last season as a judge on American Idol.
Other British celebrities on the list include Daniel Radcliffe at 82 with 25 million dollars (£16.5 million), Kate Moss at 91 with 9 million dollars (£5.95 million), and David Beckham at 36 with 44 million dollars (£29.1 million) from June 2009 to June 2010.
Despite stock market swings and a faltering global economy, the earnings power of the Celebrity 100 remains resilient.
The top 100 earned collectively 4.7 billion dollars (£3.11 billion) during the past year, up from 4.1 billion dollars (£2.7 billion) the previous year.
Forbes' Celebrity Power ranking is a measurement of entertainment-related earnings over the past 12 months as well as visibility in print, TV, radio and online.

The 24-year-old actor - who is rumoured to be dating his 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' co-star - admits the brunette beauty is "wonderful" and says they have been on a magical "adventure" together.
He said: "Kristen and I have lived a great adventure together with the 'Twilight' films. We are very close and no one can understand what we've gone through together the last few years.
"When we're together, we understand each other so well that we don't have to say a lot to explain what we're thinking. Kristen is a wonderful girl."
However, the big screen heartthrob - who stars as vampire Edward Cullen in the movie franchise - admitted he shares his alter ego's lack of success with the opposite sex.
He explained to new! magazine: "I do bear some similarities in the sense that I'm not good at romance. I also think I lack basic finesse when it comes to women.
"I give up too easily even if I'm very attracted to someone."
Despite having to cope with the attention of his legions of female fans, Robert is still shy when it comes to dealing with his admirers.
He admitted: "I don't want to disappoint girls who might think I'm very cool and smooth, which I'm not, I'm afraid. I'm still quite shy, although that seems to be something of an attraction for women."

But recently I had a chance to spend some time in London while filming Bel Ami and I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to walk around very freely without attracting any attention. It was wonderful! I can’t do that over here in the US.
“People tell me that Paris is the same way and so maybe I’ll spend some time over there, too! Sitting in cafés and reading Le Monde and smoking Gitanes. Actually, I’m trying to stop smoking, so cancel the smoking part!”
The 24-year-old also spoke about his Twilight character, revealing they have one thing in common – they are both useless at understanding women. Even though Robert is in a stable relationship with Kristen, he admits he is clueless when it comes to the opposite sex and romance. The Hollywood heartthrob has been unlucky in love in the past and often lacks confidence when it comes to women.

Despite their differing looks, people often approach Robert thinking he is Taylor, which he loves. “I have been called Taylor Lautner a few times which I'm quite happy about,” Robert laughed. “You only have to look at us to see how funny that is but it's nice to pretend I might be hiding a Taylor six-pack under my shirt.”
Robert has spoken of his awe at 18-year-old Taylor’s buff physique in the past. He was initially nervous of shooting fight scenes with him as he is so toned, and was left humiliated when his bulging shoulder muscles were too big for him to grip during filming.
“I loved those confrontational scenes,” Robert explained. “I get to push Taylor Lautner around. Of course, I was supposed to grab his shoulder to freak him out and turn the scene upside down.
“I grabbed, but his shoulder is too big to get a grip on. That was embarrassing.”

“It’s the most serious scene in the whole movie but I couldn’t stop laughing.
“We got one take where it went right, and it was because of that.”

Genealogy web site Ancestry.com said on Wednesday that the British actor is distantly related to Vlad III Dracula -- the cruel 15th century ruler who inspired Bram Stoker's literary Count Dracula in 1897.
"Tracing Pattinson's family back to Vlad was difficult research, but the pieces that unraveled created the perfect accompaniment to 'The Twilight Saga'," said Anastasia Tyler, a genealogist at Ancestry.com.
Pattinson plays love-sick vampire Edward Cullen in the smash hit film franchise based on the novels by Stephenie Meyer. The first two movies earned a combined $1.1 billion at world-wide box offices. The third film "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" opens on June 30.
Family history experts said Pattinson and Vlad -- the Transylvania-born despot also known as Vlad the Impaler -- are likely related through today's British royal family.
Pattinson, 24, is a distant cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry on their father's side, probably through the Pickering family who lived in northern England in the early 1500s, Ancestry.com said.
"Without any myth or magic, we find royalty and vampires lurking in Pattinson's life -- making his story just as supernatural as the one he is playing on screen," Tyler said.
Pattinson isn't the only movie star whose past bears an eerie resemblance to his screen persona. Last year, Ancestry.com said that actress Emma Watson, who plays teen witch Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" movies, is related to a 16th century woman accused of witchcraft.

But castmate Lutz insists Pattinson is still the same guy he first met at the beginning of the Twilight rollercoaster - he just needs a little added protection.
The American tells Parade magazine, "We've all stayed so down to earth, and it's just funny to see life change for the people around us, especially Rob. It's like, when a fan lunges at him and you only see one bodyguard around, and then 10 more jump out of the crowd, where they've been hiding.
"God, it's crazy to think about needing a bodyguard, but Rob can't take any chances. He's a heartthrob, but he's also a great guy and we all love him because he hasn't changed as a person."
